A more floral if much less spicy nose offers ripe fruit that derives more from the red side of the fruit spectrum along with evident warm earth influence. The sleek, precise and moderately concentrated flavors culminate in a nicely complex, youthfully austere and equally structured finish. This is certainly a quality effort, but it doesn't possess the sheer class of the Clos St. Denis.
